Belgian company Flow will use Intertraffic Amsterdam to showcase some compelling new features on its Flowcontrol traffic management platform. The company claims it is the world’s first traffic optimisation solution where both sensor-based traffic monitoring and floating car data operate seamlessly. Flow says the platform addresses many of today’s urban mobility needs, such as parking guidance; traffic management during roadworks or events; as well as bike or pedestrian counting.

WDM, the UK’s leading manufacturer and provider of highway survey and monitoring equipment, will be exhibiting its RAV (road assessment vehicle) for the first time at Intertraffic Amsterdam. The RAV carries out high-speed data acquisition and recording of surface conditions, including measurement of radius of curvature, gradient and crossfall; the automatic recognition of surface cracking; plus geometric longitudinal profile, accurate at speeds down to 0kph.

UK manufacturer of temporary, solar powered variable message signs (VMS), Bartco UK, will unveil what it claims is the first temporary VMS designed for use within work zones. The HD Quattro was developed in response to feedback from customers requiring a product to affirm on-site speed limits for work zone vehicles. Designed to show limited amounts of information, such as speed roundels, at just 600mm x 600mm, the free-standing, 12v battery-powered device is the smallest VMS in Bartco’s portfolio.
