EuroSmart safety cushion absorbs impact
Shinsung Control of South Korea will be at Intertraffic Amsterdam with a range of road safety products including the EuroSmart Cushion, the company’s impact attenuator which has very recently been listed on Highway England’s list of EN 1317 Compliant Road restraint Systems. Shinsung’s patented system features an energy absorption pipe (EAP) that absorbs the energy of an impact, as it bursts and coils from the rear of the device.

Jenoptik Traffic Solutions says it will use Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 as the perfect platform to present its global family of enforcement and monitoring technologies. The company says that with over 30,000 delivered systems, operating in more than 80 countries around the world, it understands very well that not all customers have the same requirements; one size does not fit all.

Digital acoustic pedestrian signals debut at Intertraffic
Swedish company Prisma Tibro will feature a range of products at Intertraffic Amsterdam including Prisma Daps 2000 which it claims is one of the world’s most developed digital acoustic pedestrian signals. New electronic design brings greater flexibility and safety while more functions include advanced sound settings, spoken messages, RFID, smart ambient noise control and vibration.

Newly-named Dinniq focuses on mobility, parking, energy
Visitors to Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 will have an opportunity of meeting a brand new company which has a long and successful track record. Imtech Traffic & Infra has renamed itself Dynniq and adopted the motto, “energising mobility”. The newly-named company is going to focus on technology and innovation and position itself around three markets: mobility, parking and energy.

Redflex launches all-in-one traffic enforcement, variable speed detection/enforcement
Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 sees the launch of Redflex Traffic Systems’ newest traffic enforcement solution. The company claims the system uses the most advanced image technology the enforcement market has seen to deliver detection rates up to five times higher than competitor products, from within a single housing. Redflex says the system can deliver accurate enforcement of red light; speed; mobile phone use; bus lanes; average speed; close following, ANPR; gridlock and wrong-way driving, to name a few.

Swarco showcases public transport, smart city management, road marking at Intertraffic

Easy removal of posts and footings with PostPullers
PostPullers, a UK company specialising in the manufacture of machines that remove posts from the ground quickly and easily, will use Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 to feature a manual and powered puller. The PostPuller machine can extract posts with heavy concrete footings in minutes which otherwise would take hours of back-breaking work if done manually. The complete post and footing can then be simply wheeled away.

Iteris focuses on video based cycle safety and dilemma zone detection at Intertraffic
Two important safety innovations will be among a range of products and systems on the Iteris stand at Intertraffic Amsterdam. The company developed the first video-based bicycle detection system, SmartCycle, that it claims provides the unique capability of distinguishing bicycles from other vehicles on the road.
