Shinsung Control of South Korea will be at Intertraffic Amsterdam with a range of road safety products including the EuroSmart Cushion, the company’s impact attenuator which has very recently been listed on Highway England’s list of EN 1317 Compliant Road restraint Systems. Shinsung’s patented system features an energy absorption pipe (EAP) that absorbs the energy of an impact, as it bursts and coils from the rear of the device.

Jenoptik Traffic Solutions says it will use Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 as the perfect platform to present its global family of enforcement and monitoring technologies. The company says that with over 30,000 delivered systems, operating in more than 80 countries around the world, it understands very well that not all customers have the same requirements; one size does not fit all.

Swedish company Prisma Tibro will feature a range of products at Intertraffic Amsterdam including Prisma Daps 2000 which it claims is one of the world’s most developed digital acoustic pedestrian signals. New electronic design brings greater flexibility and safety while more functions include advanced sound settings, spoken messages, RFID, smart ambient noise control and vibration.

Visitors to Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 will have an opportunity of meeting a brand new company which has a long and successful track record. Imtech Traffic & Infra has renamed itself Dynniq and adopted the motto, “energising mobility”. The newly-named company is going to focus on technology and innovation and position itself around three markets: mobility, parking and energy.

Leading Italian ITS company Tattile is being tight-lipped about a world launch it is planning for Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016. However, the company promises that the new camera range it has designed and developed from the ground up is genuinely next-generation.

Kapsch TrafficCom’s exhibition stand at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 will focus on its combined solutions in traffic management and V2X cooperative systems.

CA Traffic will unveil several new innovations at Intertraffic 2016 in the areas of cycle detection, a state of the art Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) system and a new comprehensive journey time and car park management solution.

Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 sees the launch of Redflex Traffic Systems’ newest traffic enforcement solution. The company claims the system uses the most advanced image technology the enforcement market has seen to deliver detection rates up to five times higher than competitor products, from within a single housing. Redflex says the system can deliver accurate enforcement of red light; speed; mobile phone use; bus lanes; average speed; close following, ANPR; gridlock and wrong-way driving, to name a few.

Siemens presence at Intertraffic Amsterdam usually involves an array of technologies and systems across a broad range of traffic and transport disciplines and this year will be no exception. Among several new innovations the company will highlight this year will be Sitraffic SiBike, intelligent street lighting and a truck guidance system.

Swarco will have a major presence again at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 and will have its usual two exhibition stands. The latest software solutions for public transport management and smart city traffic management will be shown in Hall 10 on stand 10.103. PostPullers, a UK company specialising in the manufacture of machines that remove posts from the ground quickly and easily, will use Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 to feature a manual and powered puller. The PostPuller machine can extract posts with heavy concrete footings in minutes which otherwise would take hours of back-breaking work if done manually. The complete post and footing can then be simply wheeled away.

Vitronic will use Intertraffic Amsterdam to display its full range of roadside equipment for fixed, mobile and autonomous deployment, including the new Enforcement Trailer. The company will also use the event to highlight global successes since its last appearance, as Boris Wagner, Head of International Sales, PoliScan at Vitronic, explains.

Two important safety innovations will be among a range of products and systems on the Iteris stand at Intertraffic Amsterdam. The company developed the first video-based bicycle detection system, SmartCycle, that it claims provides the unique capability of distinguishing bicycles from other vehicles on the road. Through the use of an Iteris enhanced algorithm, SmartCycle has the capability of making streets safer by extending green times for cyclists when the system knows they are present.

Flir, a world leader in thermal imaging infrared cameras and intelligent detection and monitoring solutions to enhance traffic safety and mobility, will use Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 to highlight how the company’s smart analytics for thermal cameras can reliably detect fire and hot spots in tunnels. Next to continuous temperature measurement, Flir analytics examine size and flame dynamics to reliably detect smoke or flames in non-contact mode. Nedap, a global leader in automatic vehicle identification and parking detection technology, will use Intertraffic Amsterdam to launch the uPASS Target, the company’s reply to the growing demand for high-performance UHF readers in applications where it should be possible to automatically identify vehicles and other moving objects using passive RFID tags.
