Upgrade for AGD’s 350 radar
AGD has upgraded its 350 monopulse radar to track up to 32 simultaneous vehicle targets within an 85m metre range, including the angle of the vehicle. The 350 has is designed for OEM integration into photo enforcement systems, to measure the position, speed and range of passing vehicles.

Nedap’s new RFID reader offers long range identification
Automatic vehicle and parking detection specialist Nedap has launched the uPASS Target RFID reader which is said to offer long-range identification using the Rain RFID (UHF EPC Gen II) Standard. The device identifies vehicles and drivers travelling speed of up to 200km/h (125mph) at a distance of up to 10m (33ft) by using passive UHF RFID technology (±900 MHz) and its circular polarised antenna offers orientation freedom when offering tags.

Mobileye launches new mapping technology, integrates with GM and Volkswagen
Both General Motors and Volkswagen are to incorporate Mobileye’s new road experience management (REM) mapping technology into their vehicles. REM uses crowd-sourced real-time data for precise localisation and high-definition lane data that forms an important layer of information for autonomous driving. The software, based on that running on Mobileye's EyeQ processing platforms, extracts landmarks and roadway information at extremely low bandwidths – using approximately 10kb/km.

ISS combines radar sensor with HD camera for traffic detection
Image Sensing Systems (ISS) has added the RTMS Sx-300 radar sensor with HD camera to its traffic management product line, a combination the company says provides an all-in-one radar sensor for roadways detection. The RTMS Sx-300 HDCAM allows the user to verify the zone setup across all lanes and facilitate real-time visual traffic surveillance and its high definition camera also has dual streaming video channels.
