Safer Place demonstrates Safe Traffic Platform
Safer Place is showing its new Safe Traffic Platform, a single, video-based enforcement platform that covers a range of high-risk traffic violations. At its stand in the Elicium area of the RAI, the company will be explaining how it brings together several types of smart city infrastructures such as cameras, IT and 4G. The company says that the Safe Traffic Platform delivers a range of applications that can be used on PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones and generates up to 15 times more tickets per office

Q-Free unveils futuristic Q-City virtual reality experience
Q-Free broke the mould when it unveiled Q-City at 2014’s Intertraffic. A computerised rendering of a modern urban area, Q-City allows users to look at how the company’s large suite of ITS products work with each other to make roads safer, cleaner and less congested. At this year’s show, Q-Free and Q-City have gone a step further and visitors can enjoy a fully immersive virtual reality tour.

Magnetic Autocontrol presents new access control system
The Magnetic Autocontrol Group, headquartered in Schopfheim, Germany, will present a new access control system for vehicles that is based on dynamic terminals. Up to four control terminals which are adjustable not just in height, but also depth, approach the vehicle driver and passengers if applicable. Depending on the application they can identify themselves by fingerprint scanners, iris scanners, passport readers, card readers, coin validators or an intercom system.

WDM exhibits RAV road assessment vehicle
WDM, the UK’s leading manufacturer and provider of highway survey and monitoring equipment, will be exhibiting its RAV (road assessment vehicle) for the first time at Intertraffic Amsterdam. The RAV carries out high-speed data acquisition and recording of surface conditions, including measurement of radius of curvature, gradient and crossfall; the automatic recognition of surface cracking; plus geometric longitudinal profile, accurate at speeds down to 0kph.
