Transpo will be highlighting its Color-Safe pavement marking system at Intertraffic. The company claims the product is the most cost-effective, high-definition colour marking on the market today and was recently used for bus lane demarcation in both New York City and Chicago.

Under-inflated tyres are a widespread, global issue that impact road and driver safety. Indeed, across Europe alone, under-inflated tyres contribute to 9% of all fatal road accidents and 41% of serious injury road accidents, according to EU data.

Belgian company Flow will use Intertraffic to showcase some compelling new features on its Flowcontrol traffic management platform. The company claims it is the world’s first traffic optimisation solution where both sensor-based traffic monitoring and floating car data operate seamlessly.

Stuer-Egghe is exhibiting here at Intertrafic with its new fully automatic TMA Julietta mobile crash cushion, with certified bumper and tail lights, alongside the Dak P1 wireless traffic detector. Stuer-Egghe, a manufacturing company with extensive experience in mobile signalling and safety euipment, claims to have been the first European supplier of TMAs compliant with NCHRP 350.

Syndicate Secure foresees “remarkable growth” in the Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) market and is at Intertraffic with a new product targeting that burgeoning market.

Swarco has an enhanced version of its Omina software platform on display at Intertraffic, future proofed for allowing for highway authorities’ greater use of big data. The Omina platform now comes with a ‘City Dashboard’, which can be customized depending on users’ specific needs.

As Vaisala points out, these days the ways in which motorists can receive information is constantly increasing through all sorts of applications and media, and soon to include information from one vehicle to another – V2V.

Less downtime for maintenance and greater quality of line marking are promised from a number of features incorporated in Hofmann’s newly improved MultiDotLine extruder. The results are significant gains in efficiency and productivity, the company claims.
