Bosch develops motorcycle to car communications to reduce crashes
Bosch, in partnership with Autotalks, Cohda Wireless and Ducati, has developed a prototype solution which allows cars and motorcycles to communicate with each other with the aim of reducing the number of crashes involving motorcyclists. Chubb launches new camera system for smart motorways
Chubb Systems has launched a television outstation (TVOS) and an all-weather traffic monitoring CCTV camera system that it says delivers the high quality images demanded by smart motorways. Parking terminals to monitor air quality
Parking technology specialist Parkeon has developed a module for its Strada range of terminals that captures air quality data, enabling authorities to monitor levels of particulate matter and pollutants such as CO2. Lufft launches new weather sensor for gard to reach locations
Weather measuring equipment manufacturer Lufft has launched StaRWIS, a new easy-to-install and compact stationary sensor for road weather information systems based on a non-invasive, spectroscopic measuring standard. Designed for hard-to-reach or critical locations, the sensor is installed at a height between five and six metres and provides road and dew point temperatures, water film height, road conditions (dry, wet, ice, snow, critical and chemically wet), relative humidity, ice percentage and friction.

Gewi uses Waze data to initiate pothole repair projects
Gewi has announced a new component for its TIC software which will collect Waze data and automatically take action based on the specific event type and subtype, enabling the software to automatically create road repair projects based on user-generated pothole reports from Waze.
