Mercedes-Benz extends Inrix Off-Street Parking
Mercedes Benz has extended Inrix Off-Street Parking service to its Mercedes-Benz C-Class and S-Classes in Europe and the US, providing drivers with accurate real-time and dynamic parking information for garage location, number of spaces, detailed rates and current occupancy levels. Montreal invests in smart street lighting

Austrian city opts for electronic parking
From September and following a successful pilot, Vienna’s parking permit will be replaced by Schreiner PrinTrust’s RFID electronic parking permit. Forestry Commission installs ticketless parking
Newpark Solutions has been awarded a major contract to install the latest Fusion ticketless pay-on-foot parking system at over 40 woods and forests across the UK managed by the Forestry Commission. New Zealand capital installs smart parking sensors
Following a successful trial, Wellington City Council, New Zealand, in partnership with Smart Parking is set to launch Sector 1 of the city’s smart parking system. Parkopedia, Apple collaborate on parking information
Parking services provider Parkopedia is to collaborate with Apple in a deal that will allow Apple Map users to view key information on more than 40 million parking spaces in 75 countries around the world. In addition, users will have the option to click through to Parkopedia's website and iOS app to view more detailed information including pricing, user reviews, special offers and real-time space availability. Arkansas airport gets new parking system
Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, Arkansas, US is now benefiting from a state-of-the-art Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) from Designa, installed by Next Gen Parking as part of a redevelopment of airport facilities. Drivers in Marseille to pay for parking via SMS
Dutch digital security specialist Gemalto is deploying its Netsize Operator Billing platform for the Ingénierie, Electronique et Monétique (IEM) in Marseille, France, enabling drivers in the city to pay only for time spent in a parking bay, simply by sending an SMS when they enter and another one when they leave. Gemalto will provide the cashless payment element of the city’s TIMO software solution to manage the SMS flow and allow debiting of time-based payments from customers' mobile phone bills.

Smarter parking in Poland
Polish smart cities IT solutions provider has chosen Nedap’s Sensit wireless parking to improve on-street parking in the Polish city of Piekary Śląskie. Veri-Park launches ticketless barrier-controlled parking
Ticketless parking payment specialist Veri-park is now installing barrier-controlled solutions to complement its barrier-less systems. However, the parking payment process remains ticketless.
