Parking service provider Parkopedia is to provide Audi Chinas with its premium in-car 'Parking Info' Audi connect service. The service will be provided in partnership with Amap, China's provider of map data and connected vehicle services. It will include space availability information, which will enable drivers to go directly to an open parking space.

The Audi factory in Ingolstadt, Germany has deployed a smart parking system developed by Spanish company Urbiotica in a bid to optimise parking and reduce congestion in its 5,000-space car employee car park. The system utilises 22 U-Flow wireless parking sensors installed at the car park entrances and exits. These detect vehicles entering and leaving each parking sector and display occupancy data on information panels in real time, guiding drivers to free spaces and reducing congestion.

The local authority has just installed 177 Parkeon StradaPAL terminals as part of a renewal programme, following on from 140 StradaPAL machines installed in 2014.
