Babylon launches PassportParking for easier commutes
The village of Babylon in Long Island, near New York City, has introduced PassportParking's mobile app with the intention of providing commuters with an easier way to pay for parking across nearly 1,000 off-street locations. PassportParking says the app also allows users to monitor their parking sessions, extend sessions remotely, view payment history and receive email receipts. IPS Group unveils new Park Smarter parking app
US smart parking company IPS Group (IPS), has extended its fully-integrated smart parking solutions with Park Smarter, a mobile payment app that can be used before the car is even parked. The app’s Parking Finder tool locates available parking, and payment can be made using Visa Checkout which eliminates the need to enter card information or billing address in the app. Users can then simply log in using the app’s single sign-on (SSO) capability using the same credentials used as social networking sites

US parking tools refreshed

ITE and NPA join forces to update key parking analysis tools

Dundee launches call for real-world testing of transport technology
Dundee City Council has launched a call of almost £1m ($1.3m) on behalf of the city’s Mobility Innovation Living Laboratory, which is looking for new products, services and business models that can be trialled using the city as a test-bed. Amsterdam-based TomTom’s (TOM2’s) On-Street Parking service is now available in 100 European cities.
