FLIR aims to build on US successes with infrared-spectrum cameras

Quercus debuts crosswalk protection feature at World Congress

Ho Chi Minh City plans rapid bus system
As part of an initiative to develop a modern transport system for Ho Chi Minh City, the municipal administration plans to spend around US$152 million on a bus rapid transit (BRT) project that will run along the 25km Vo Van Kiet – Mai Chi Tho boulevard, connecting the eastern and western parts of the city. CAMEA WIM, developed and manufactured by CAMEA image and signal processing, is a turnkey solution for weigh-in-motion applications, from traffic reports to enforcement. According to CAMEA, the high speed system allows vehicles thought to be overloaded to be pre-selected and directed to a precise weigh station without impact on traffic flow. ITS associations sign up to further mutual cooperation
Intentions of mutual cooperation have been pledged in the form of memoranda of understanding (MoU) signed in Vienna this week by ITS associations of Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, UK and others. Solar road studs aid night time road safety on the M20
UK company, Astucia, part of the Clearview Traffic Group, and Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald has installed over 4,000 Astucia SolarLite road studs on the M20 junctions 8 to 9 between Ashford and Maidstone, on behalf of the UK Highways Agency. This section of the motorway lacks street lighting increasing the potential risk for night time accidents. The project involved upgrading the existing road markings and road studs to address the high number of collisions recorded in the dark and wet conditions. The exis
