Vix offers real time information via Google maps
Vix Technology’s updates to its BusNet solution gives public transport providers the option to supply real-time information to Google Maps using the Google Transit interface. This opens up the information to a huge potential passenger audience without the need for a specialist app or website.The real-time information includes vehicle position and trip updates (predicted arrival or departure for stops along the route) and are provided. Trip updates can also accommodate added, cancelled or rerouted services.

Actibump installation shows results
Trials in the city Linköping have shown the effectiveness of Edeva’s Actibump speeding deterrent. The average speed on the road, which is used by 5,000 vehicles per day, decreased from 36 to 32km/h following the installation of the device. Green light for Lafarge Holcim Singapore merger
Lafarge and Holcim have reportedly been shown the green light from the Competition Commission of Singapore to merge their local operations. AsiaOne Business website writes that the merger, with Holcim acquiring Lafarge's entire issued share capital, will result in Holcim being renamed LafargeHolcim. Holcim (Singapore) and Lafarge Cement Singapore overlap in the manufacture and supply of ready-mixed concrete. They also supply grey cement, used to produce mortar and concrete, here.
