McCain launches low voltage, low power ATC cabinet
McCain’s low voltage advanced traffic control (ATC) cabinet features high-density components powered by direct current to promote energy efficiency and safety. With inherently reduced voltage of 50 volts, the DC components reduce the risk of accidental shock or electrocution and the effects of short circuiting. The resulting cabinet is safer to operate and maintain, and compliant with the US National Electrical Code’s standards on inadvertent contact with live or arcing parts.

Green light for Lafarge Holcim Singapore merger
Lafarge and Holcim have reportedly been shown the green light from the Competition Commission of Singapore to merge their local operations. AsiaOne Business website writes that the merger, with Holcim acquiring Lafarge's entire issued share capital, will result in Holcim being renamed LafargeHolcim. Holcim (Singapore) and Lafarge Cement Singapore overlap in the manufacture and supply of ready-mixed concrete. They also supply grey cement, used to produce mortar and concrete, here.
