Connexionz awarded contract to connect multiple transit agencies across three States

iGirouette installs 15 digital signage systems in Lyon, France

MBTA chooses Cubic to deliver next-generation fare payment system

GMV develops app to inform travellers of bus status in real time
GMV has developed the Toledo Bus app to provide users with real time information of the City’s urban transport network. Norbit ITS contracted by NPRA to deliver more than 100,000 toll tags
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) has awarded Norbit ITS the first contract under a four-year frame agreement to deliver more than 100,000 toll tags to Norwegian AutoPass System during the first quarter of 2018. The value of the contract is undisclosed. NPRA purchases the tags on behalf of the various tolling operators, and each contract is awarded in competition with other suppliers. Report highlights cost effectiveness of crash reduction strategy
Local authorities in the UK needs an immediate injection of £200 million to tackle the high risk road sections, according to a new report from the Road Safety Foundation charity and Ageas UK. ITS (UK) Interest Group calls for targeted initiatives on transport emissions
A more targeted approach to dealing with the automotive industry which has the biggest effect on transport emissions is needed; rather than an overall reduction in average levels of harmful pollutants, according to a meeting held by the ITS (UK) Smart Environment Interest Group. City EV selects OTI's to provide cashless payment solution for EV charging station
CityEV has chosen OTI’s Uno 6 Ultra Compact NFC Contactless Reader as the cashless payment solution for its Cityline 100 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. LA Metro joins forces with Via to offer first and last mile transport solution
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Authority (LA Metro) has partnered with Via to provide an affordable first and last mile solution to customers. Funded by the Federal Transit Administration, valued $1.35 million (£1.01 million), the plan aims to support transit agencies and communities that integrate new mobility tools such as smart phone apps, bike- and car-sharing and on-demand bus and van services.

Distance-based lorry charging should be compulsory in budget, says Campaigners
Following UK government figures which revealed that only 34% of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) are fully loaded by volume, and 30% are travelling around empty, the Campaign for Better Transport (CfBT) is calling for distance based lorry charging systems to be made compulsory. The campaigners stated that the technology can determine the impact of lorries on roads and force the road haulage industry to be more efficient and reduce lorry miles. UTA to provide on-board unit solution for eight European Electronic toll services
Union Tank Eckstein GmbH & Co. KG (UTA) will be providing an on-board unit (OBU) solution for the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) to increase efficiency in customer mobility. It initially comprises tolling services in Austria, Belgium toll and Liefkenshoektunnel, Poland (A4), Spain, France, Italy and Portugal from next February.
