Get bus orders CNG buses from New Flyer
Golden Empire Transit District (GET bus) has awarded transit bus and motor coach manufacturer New Flyer of America with a contract for 24 Xcelsior compressed natural gas transit buses. Indra tunnel solution used on four tunnels for Bogotá-Villavicencio divided highway project

City of Toronto and Waze share traffic data to help motorists navigate the City

Cubic wins mobile ticketing contract for Rhein-Sieg Region, Germany
Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS) has been awarded a mobile ticketing contract for Germany’s Rhein-Sieg area which includes Cologne, to enable customers to purchase tickets and manage their online accounts. It will support transport operator Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG (KVB) is valued €920,000 (£819,000) for five years plus an estimated €600,000 (£534,000) in transaction fees.

University of Birmingham’s sensor wins Intelligent Infrastructure Challenge

Autumn budget: EV charging infrastructure fund and higher tax rates for diesel vehicles
Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond has announced a £400m ($532m) charging infrastructure fund for electric vehicles (EVs), an extra £100m ($133m) investment in Plug-In-Car Grant, and a £40m ($53m) in charging R&D in the UK’s Autumn Budget 2017. He added that laws need to be clarified so that motorists who charge their EVs at work will not face a benefit-in-kind charge from next year.

Spark EV launches telematics solution to remove range anxiety for EV fleet operators

Spark EV has launched its new artificial intelligence-based journey prediction telematics solution in Cambridge UK to reassure fleet managers moving to electric vehicles (EVs) that they will be able to schedule and complete jobs without running out of charge. Fluor chosen to lead joint venture for Boston Green Line rail extension project
Fluor Corporation (FC) has been selected by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to lead a joint venture for the Green Line Light Rail Extension in Boston, valued $2 billion (£1.5 billion). ABB launches 450kW fast chargers for electric buses, Gothernburg
ABB has launched a project with Volvo Buses, Västtrafik and Göteborg Energi (GE) to supply two of its 450kW Opportunity Charging systems to charge two high capacity electric-articulated Volvo buses in Gothenburg, Sweden.
