Belgian region orders Sensys Gatso safety systems
Sensys Gatso Group has received orders for traffic safety systems valued at US$1.3 million (SEK 11.9 million) from the Flemish Government in Belgium. According to Sensys Gatso, the Belgian market is an important one for the company, which has already received an order from the Belgian Capital Region this year. Cameras to target dangerous drivers at West Sussex level crossing
The UK’s Network Rail is installing red light safety cameras at a level crossing in West Sussex to stop drivers putting lives at risk. The new cameras will be equipped with number plate recognition technology, meaning motorists misusing the crossing can now be automatically identified and prosecuted by British Transport Police. Redflex resolves final US inquiry from 2013 investigation
Following this week’s announcement of a settlement with the City of Chicago, Redflex Traffic Systems (RTSI) says it has resolved all criminal and civil matters in the US arising out of the Company's 2013 investigation into allegations of corruption by former executives. The company has agreed to pay the City of Chicago US$20 million, with $10 million payable by the end of 2017 and the balance to be paid in various annual instalments by the end of 2023, unless extended by the terms of the agreement.

ATS appoints VP of service delivery
US-based American Traffic Solutions (ATS) has appointed Bobby Neil as senior vice president of service delivery, with responsibility for ATS's service delivery organisation, which oversees construction, field services, mobile speed, call centre and violations processing. Neil's background includes more than 20 years of program and project management experience for public and private technology companies. UK county opts for SPECS average speed enforcement
Jenoptik’s SPECS3 Vector average speed enforcement cameras are to be installed in Lancashire, UK, on eight routes in the county which are being targeted in a bid to cut down casualty rates. Work began on 9 January on the first route, with enforcement likely to begin around March.
