Australia’s 2017 National electronic Tolling Forum (NeTC), Converging Smarter Tolling Technologies, which takes place in Sydney on 23-25 May, will address the challenges and opportunities faced by the tolling industry and their impact on business and personal mobility.

TransCore is in the midst of deploying over 100 miles of express lanes throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, as part of an initiative to increase mobility along the region’s busiest corridors. New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has selected TransCore to convert all nine of its bridges and tunnels to all-electronic tolling (AET). Tolling specialist Emovis, which is to install and manage the toll system for the Mersey Gateway in the UK, is to test the technology on the Bridgewater Expressway prior to installation on the new bridge. Q-Free has received a US$3.1 million (NOK26 million) order for toll tags from Costanera Norte, one of four concessionaires in Santiago, Chile. The order will be delivered between November 2016 and January 2018. Q-Free has delivered tags to all the urban concessionaries of Santiago since the implementation of the first multi-lane free flow system, with more than 1.6 million tags delivered during the last 10 years.

As the California Road Charge Pilot Program enters its fourth month, participant feedback indicates that 65 per cent of 3,191 respondents surveyed are satisfied with the program as a whole.
