French Highway company and tag issuer Vinci Autoroutes has placed extension orders for Q-Free tags valued 25 MNOK. The additional volumes follow a frame agreement made in December 2016. Håkon Volldal, chief executive officer of Q-Free, said: “These extension orders confirm the high technical performance of Q-Free’s tags and our ability to supply significant volumes on short notice. Moia, the mobility startup from Volkswagen Group, has introduced a fully electric six-seated car as part of its ride pooling concept that plans to replace 1 million cars and reduce congestion on major cities in Europe and the USA by 2025. California’s Office of Administrative Law has issued a notice of approval of regulatory changes to adopt the ISO 18000-63 (6C) electronic toll collection (ETC) protocol on all roads throughout the state, from January 2019. Halton may be a small local authority in north west England, but it had a big traffic problem. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) has awarded Norbit ITS the first contract under a four-year frame agreement to deliver more than 100,000 toll tags to Norwegian AutoPass System during the first quarter of 2018.
