UTA releases fee processing OBU for Slovenia’s DarsGo toll system
Union Tank Eckstein (UTA) is facilitating fee processing for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes ahead of the DarsGo toll system’s barrier-free processing technology, launching in Slovenia, on the 1 April 2018. Clients can obtain a DarsGo On-Board Unit (OBU) via a UTA full service card at Dars, Petrol, Österreichische Mineralölverwaltung and Magyar OLaj- és Gázipari Részvénytársaság service stations. Emovis reach record number of toll transactions in Ireland 2017
Emovis has announced its toll interoperability cloud-based hub in Ireland has cleared more than 50 million cleared in 2017. The solution is intends to allow drivers to travel with one toll tag across the whole country. The company says there are more than 650,000 toll transponders in use as of January 2018.

Cofiroute USA to provide toll services for Texas regional authorities
The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) and North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority have selected Cofiroute USA (Cofiroute), a Vinci Highways subsidiary, to deliver toll services that will help them provide a better service for drivers. The five-year contract represents an annual volume of approximately 23 million transactions. Q-Free wins three-year tag contract in Australia
Q-Free has won a contract, valued $3.8m (£2.1m), to supply tags to an Australian road operator over a three-year period. Interlink Roads manages and develops the M5 South-West Motorway and the E-way tolling business. Kapsch to upgrade toll systems for two San Diego highways
The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) has selected Kapsch TrafficCom (Kapsch) to upgrade toll systems on the interstate 15 (I-15) Express Lanes and the State Route 125 toll road (South Bay Expressway). The project aims to provide drivers with more seamless journeys that feature modern technology and streamlined maintenance and operation activities. Emovis replaces gas tax with pay per mile charge in Washington pilot
2,000 Washington-based volunteers are taking part in an Emovis project which will replace the gas tax with a pay-per-mile travelled charge. The results of the year-long trial will help shape the state’s future transportation funding policy. Q-Free receives tag order from The Expressway Authority of Thailand
Q-Free will supply tags to The Expressway Authority of Thailand in a contract valued approximately ฿68m (£1.5m). Håkon Volldal, CEO of Q-Free, said: “This order confirms the high technical performance of Q-Free’s tags and our ability to supply significant volumes on short notice.”

Q-Free wins two US tolling contracts
Norwegian supplier of ITS products Q-Free Open Roads (Q-Free) has been chosen as a sub- contractor for two US tolling projects in Washington and San Diego, valued $4.4m (£3.1m). Q-Free Open Roads awarded U.S. tolling contract
Transcore has selected Norway's Q-Free Open Roads (Q-Free) as sub-contractor in a U.S. tolling scheme valued $1.4m (£1m). It will provide Intrada Synergy Server products and services in the North Carolina Turnpike Authority roadside toll collection project for the Monroe Expressway and the US-74 Express Lanes. Kistler to showcase WIM solutions at Intertraffic in Amsterdam
Kistler Group (Kistler) will showcase its KiTraffic Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) solutions at this year’s Intertraffic in Amsterdam from the 20-23 March 2018.
