Indra deploys traffic monitoring system to improve mobility, Kuwait
Indra has created a new traffic control centre in Kuwait equipped with its smart traffic and tunnel management platform, Horus, to present a graphic format of collected traffic data to operators and citizens. Leeds orders CCTV vehicle to reduce congestion and improve safety
Leeds City Council has received a new mobile enforcement vehicle from Videalert to target key areas where non-compliant drivers cause congestion or safety issues. It will also provide unattended enforcement to offences such as parking on city centre bus stops and school keep clears.

WSP wins Caltrans Excellence in Transportation Award 2017
Engineering Consultancy WSP won a Caltrans Excellence in Transportation Award 2017, following a partnership with the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and Scoop's app to develop a carpool program in the San Francisco Bay area, on behalf of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). Kapsch awarded mobility control centre management, Malaga
Austrian-based traffic technology provider Kapsch TrafficCom will implement its EcoTrafix software in a €5.8m (£5.11m) project to help create a Smart City Strategy, in Malaga. Vinci Autoroutes increases volume of Q-Free frame agreement
French Highway company and tag issuer Vinci Autoroutes has placed extension orders for Q-Free tags valued 25 MNOK. The additional volumes follow a frame agreement made in December 2016. Håkon Volldal, chief executive officer of Q-Free, said: “These extension orders confirm the high technical performance of Q-Free’s tags and our ability to supply significant volumes on short notice. We are grateful for Vinci’s continued confidence in Q-Free and look forward to continuing our partnership.”
