Queensland opts for Gatso enforcement

Sensys to supply enforcement to Jordan
Sensys Traffic is to supply a customer in Jordan with mobile and fixed speed enforcement systems, and red light enforcement systems. Iowa DOT approves new traffic camera rules
Iowa DOT’s Transportation Commission has unanimously approved proposed rules for red light and speed cameras that require cities to prove the devices are needed to improve safety on highways. The rules require a city to perform an engineering analysis of the highway and also present some alternatives to the cameras to address any safety issues. Cities that currently have cameras installed would have to do the engineering study by May 2014. The rules must still go through the legislative approval process

Dutch speed-enforcement contract for Jenoptik
Robot Nederland, part of Jenoptik’s Traffic Solutions division is to supply over 130 stationary roadside speed measurement systems to the Central Justitieel Incassobureau (CJIB) in the Netherlands. The deal includes an eight-year operations and maintenance contract and is part of the EG100 framework agreement. Roll-out is expected to start in the first half of 2014.

Pilot for 50 mph limit for HGVs on A9
