Efficient speed enforcement in the most highly frequented tunnel in Austria on the A7 near Linz. The Bindermichl-Niedernhart tunnel complex on Austrian highway A7 connects the major east/west A1 route from Vienna/ Bratislava to Munich/Salzburg with the A7/ E55 running south from Prague in the Czech Republic. Iteris first quarter 2015 revenues up
Iteris has reported total revenues of US18.1 million for its fiscal first quarter 2015, up six per cent over the same quarter a year ago. Dual purpose for new weigh-in-motion site
A new weigh-in-motion weighbridge is being installed on State Highway 1 at the Rakaia Bridge to support the introduction of high productivity motor vehicles (HPMV) on this key South Island, New Zealand, freight route. The HPMV system allows vehicles carrying a divisible load of essential goods to weigh more than the official 44 metric tonnes without a permit, but only on specified routes.

TransCore to develop bay area express lane network
TransCore is to develop, integrate, and maintain a network of express lanes on behalf of San Francisco’s Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s (MTC) Bay Area Infrastructure Financing Authority (BAIFA). Mexico implements Indra traffic management technology

Singapore to test over-height vehicle sensors
Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) is to conduct a six month trial of over-height vehicle sensors along a stretch of Upper Bukit Timah Road in a bid to prevent drivers hitting overhead road structures with a 4.5m clearance. If the pilot is successful it may be extended to more locations. Two projects recently implemented by Middle East-based Traffic Tech Group have scooped the Most Innovative ITS Implementation Award at the ITS and Road Safety Awards 2014 at the ITS and Road Safety Forum. India to deploy ETC at 82 toll plazas
Established in 2011, Indian technology and infrastructure company Vaaan has been awarded two major projects valued at around US$25 million from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) through its highway operations management agency, Indian Highways Management Company (IHMCL).
