Lindsay deploys moveable barrier in San Francisco
Manufacturer of irrigation and infrastructure equipment Lindsay (LNN) has joined forces with the Bay Area Transportation Authority to deploy its movable barrier on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge in San Francisco, California. Called Road Zipper, the solution will intend to create a separate area for bicycles and pedestrians, while giving officials the option to move the barrier when maintenance work is needed. Systra to implement cable car in Marseille to improve visitor access

Uber suspended from resuming Arizona self-driving tests
Arizona’s state governor Doug Ducey has ordered officials to suspend Uber’s right to test autonomous vehicles on local roads pending the outcome of inquiries by national transport safety regulations – in a report from the BBC. It follows a letter that Ducey sent to the car-hailing company in which he stated that there had been an unquestionable failure to make safety the top priority.

Siemens launches all-new passively safe traffic signal poles
Seimens has unveiled a new range of passively safe traffic signal poles in the UK which are designed with the intention of offering improved corrosion resistance, longer life and are said to be 50% lighter than equivalent steel poles. Leeds orders CCTV vehicle to reduce congestion and improve safety
Leeds City Council has received a new mobile enforcement vehicle from Videalert to target key areas where non-compliant drivers cause congestion or safety issues. It will also provide unattended enforcement of offences such as parking on city centre bus stops and school keep clear markings. Bombardier to extend People Mover System in Phoenix
The City of Phoenix has selected Bombardier Transportation (Bombardier) to upgrade its Sky Train automated people mover (APM) system at the Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport as part of a second stage project.
