Variable Message Sign (VMS) manufacturer, Batrco UK has appointed Matt Felce as ITS development manager, where he will be responsible for product development, testing and legislative compliance. The US state of Georgia is to establish a regional transit governance and funding framework for metro Atlanta. A new entity, called the Atlanta-region Transit Link Authority (ATL), will be created and charged with regional transit planning for 13 counties in metro Atlanta. IAM RoadSmart has appointed Mike Quinton as its chief executive officer from the 23 April. The former chief executive of the National House Building Council will replace Sarah Sillars. Swarco has acquired the majority shareholding in Bergauer Holding. The Switzerland based company develops and integrates intelligent traffic guidance and control systems as well as guidance systems for infrastructure and security projects. For the medium term, the project planning, installation and services activities of Bergauer Signalbau and Swarco will be merged into Swarco Schweiz as part of a strategy to achieve a better service for clients.
