Central Parking releases mobile coupons in New York
Central Parking System has announced an enhancement to its new proprietary parking app that will allow customers in its New York market to download coupons directly to their iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch device. With this free enhancement, customers will be able to directly download the mobile coupons and then redeem them at participating Central locations throughout the New York area simply by showing the parking attendant their device. Thales upgrading Kuala Lumpur monorail signalling
Scomi Engineering, which is upgrading Kuala Lumpur monorail for its operator Prasarana, has selected Thales to supply a turnkey signalling solution costing some US$18.6 million. The monorail, operational since 2003 in Malaysia’s capital, is currently expanding its passenger transportation capacity by the introduction of new rolling stock with four-carriage trains and by the replacement of the existing signalling along the eleven stations of the monorail.

Kuwait orders Motiontrack
T3 Motion, a producer of clean/green technology, has received a 200-piece order from A&M Garments in Kuwait for the company’s Motiontrak 300P digital in-car video data recording system. Trial of renewable diesel for Rio buses
Amyris Brasil, a subsidiary of Amyris, has announced that it will supply renewable diesel during a 12-month fleet test involving 20 city buses in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The renewable fuel derived from sugarcane, known locally as Diesel de Cana, will be blended at a 30 per cent rate with petroleum-derived diesel and used in Mercedes-Benz buses operated by Viação Saens Peña, a Rio-based bus operator.
