BumpRecorder of Japan will be at the 2015 ITS World Congress with an innovative system that can evaluate road roughness, using only a smartphone. A user simply drives a passenger car with BumpRecorder installed on a smartphone and it will record vehicle vibration without the need for any special equipment.

MultiToll Solutions is showing its MovCityAir system at the ITS World Congress for the first time, having unveiled it last year at Intertraffic. The new system, which is now ready for deployment, uses an RFID reader and camera at the entry points to low-emission areas.

Polish company Neurosoft is showing its new NeuroPark system, part of its NeuroCar product line, which gives drivers directions to suitable parking locations by the side of a motorway and also warns them of potential problems on their route.

Congress delegates have the chance to see how traffic news gets onto the radio as Vinci Autoroutes has set up a glass-walled radio station on its stand. Automatic incident detection is getting more and more powerful with development of new video hardware and software. Among recent advances, Citilog has signed a new partnership deal to put the company’s incident detection software inside ‘smart cameras’ supplied by Axis.
