Transport for London (TfL), London Councils and the Greater London Authority (GLA) have announced funding of almost US$6 million (£4.5 million) to London boroughs to install electric vehicle charging infrastructure on London’s streets. Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) and Mazda Motor Corporation (Mazda) have today formed an alliance that will see them invest in a US$1.6 million assembly plant in the US and jointly develop technologies for electric vehicles, connected-car technology, advanced safety technologies and expand complementary products.
