Iveco Bus will supply 50 Crealis buses which run on Compressed Natural Gas and are 18 meters in length to the city of Abidjan’s transit provider Société des transports Abidjanais (SOTRA). These models are said to be the first High Service Level Bus to be delivered to the African continent and will be deployed to help reduce emissions and noise levels. Iveco will also deliver 400 Crossway Low Entry buses that are 12 meters in length, which will almost double SOTRA’s fleet.

GVB, the authority operating the municipal public transport network in Amsterdam, has awarded Indra a contract to install more than 130 automatic ticket vending machines at the city’s underground, streetcar and bus network. Shanghai Shentong Metro Group has awarded Thales SEC Transport the signalling contract for the Fully Automated Operation (FAO) Line 14 of the City’s Metro. It will provide an integrated management system as well as signalling and supervision solutions with the intention of meeting the demand for metro transport capacity and alleviating traffic in the downtown area. The driverless and highly automated line is scheduled to enter service at the end of 2020.
