1763 Econolite Group will use the 2012 ITS America Annual Meeting & Eposition to demonstrate its latest detection offerings - the Autoscope Duo (hybrid radar/video system), and RTMS - as well as featuring its Centracs ATMS and Centracs Adaptive software solutions. Indeed, there will be a celebratory air as the group continues its milestone celebration of the 100th Centracs order – achieved within three years of introduction. To be installed in Georgia, the advanced traffic management system software will be deployed as part of the city of Johns Creek’s ITS master plan that provides the vision and strategy for the future development of the city’s traffic operations.

“Centracs’ robust yet scalable architecture is a significant reason for its fast acceptance among transportation agencies of all sizes,” says Econolite senior VP of sales, Jeff Spinazze. “Centracs is designed to seamlessly expand ITS capabilities to complement agencies evolving transportation plans and budgets.”

First deployed in 2009, currently about 17,000 signalised intersections are licensed through Centracs. The system provides an integrated platform for traffic signal control, ITS field device monitoring and control, information management, graphical data display, advanced traffic algorithms, and much more.

Meanwhile, the Autoscope Duo sensor is a hybrid radar and video vehicle detection system — the first in a new generation of hybrid sensor technology. It merges the robust capabilities of radar and video detection techonologies for the highest levels of detection accuracy in all traffic, lighting, weather, and pavement conditions, with the lowest cost of ownership. The Autoscope Duo sensor provides a consistent vehicle detection solution, and inspires ITS applications of continuous data collection and traffic monitoring.

Also being highlighted is the company’s non-intrusive, radar-based RTMS (Remote Traffic Microwave Sensor) G4, an advanced sensor for the detection and measurement of traffic on roadways. It is all-weather accurate and virtually maintenance-free. As Econolite points out, best of all, RTMS is renowned for long-term, worry-free reliability.
