Access and Irdeto partner to protect in-car data and services
Security specialist Irdeto has teamed up with Access Co to develop protection for the increasing amount of personal data that is generated by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communication. Ordnance Survey and Mobileye to deliver roadside infrastructure data in UK
National mapping agency Ordnance Survey (OS) has joined forces with Mobileye, an Intel company, to deliver high precision road network location data in the UK. OS’ geospatial and technology resources will be paired with Mobileye’s automotive camera-based mapping capabilities to offer a location information service. The partnership, unveiled at Consumer Electronics show 2019 in Las Vegas, also seeks to use the data to support the rollout of connected autonomous vehicles, intelligent mobility and 5G.

Delphi partners with TomTom on Intelligent Driving controls
Delphi Technologies is collaborating with TomTom on electronic and software applications designed to further optimise vehicle fuel efficiency and emissions through the use of real-time mapping data. Delphi says its Intelligent Driving controls will use the information to predict changing driving conditions such as traffic congestion to help shorten commute times. Kapsch to deliver 30 C-ITS devices for Australian connected vehicle pilot
Kapsch TrafficCom is to deliver 30 roadside co-operative ITS (C-ITS) devices over two years in support of a connected vehicle trial in Australia. Aimsun takes part in driver data study to improve C/AVs

Denso acquires US automotive diagnostic information company
Denso has acquired Ease Simulation, a US company which develops automotive diagnostics technology. Richard Shiozaki, senior vice president of Denso Products and Services Americas, says the deal is part of a long-term strategy to offer new value for mobility. Ease will now merge with Denso Products and Services America, an automotive components subsidiary based in California. Ease also offers automotive inspection software, automotive emissions equipment and automotive telematics systems.
