US-based American Traffic Solutions (ATS) has appointed Bobby Neil as senior vice president of service delivery, with responsibility for ATS's service delivery organisation, which oversees construction, field services, mobile speed, call centre and violations processing. Neil's background includes more than 20 years of program and project management experience for public and private technology companies. He joins ATS from IO, where he was most recently vice president of global services.

Jenoptik’s SPECS3 Vector average speed enforcement cameras are to be installed in Lancashire, UK, on eight routes in the county which are being targeted in a bid to cut down casualty rates. Work began on 9 January on the first route, with enforcement likely to begin around March. Traffic Technology has upgraded its SpeedWatch system, a compact radar device developed for use by Community SpeedWatch teams, following user feedback. The tripod-mounted device provides a non-confrontational way to measure traffic speeds and lends itself to being used as part of school speed awareness programmes and speed survey work.

Sensys Gatso Group has received a contract valued at US$749,000 (EUR 685 thousand) from its Belgian partner Engie Fabricom. Cohort business and road technology specialist SEA has been awarded a further contract by the City of Cardiff Council to help the Welsh capital to reduce the congestion impact of traffic growth.
