Q-Free is to install 68 traffic detectors from ADEC Technologies around Ljubljana and the A1 highway towards the coastal region of Slovenia.
ADEC says up to three of its TDC3-8 (TLS 8+1) traffic detectors will be installed at 30 locations to manage traffic.
Jure Pirc, project manager at Q-Free, says the detectors are used mainly for “traffic data acquisition” as part of the traffic management system on the highway.

Q-Free is to provide its automatic number plate recognition service to five unnamed regional tolling companies in Norway – in a deal valued 26 million NOK (£2.3m).
Q-Free says the five-year contract will provide a new system for toll charging in Norway.
The project is scheduled to begin this Autumn.
Tolling specialist Q-Free has signed multiple contracts with an unnamed customer in the US. The company says it will therefore reduce pollution caused by drivers searching for parking spaces.
