Q-Free to install tolling solution in Norway

Q-Free is to provide its automatic number plate recognition service to five unnamed regional tolling companies in Norway – in a deal valued 26 million NOK (£2.3m). Q-Free says the five-year contract will provide a new system for toll charging in Norway. The project is scheduled to begin this Autumn.

    Q-Free is to deploy its Intrada Insight Server (ISS) solution to an unnamed tolling operator in Florida in a deal valued at £2.3m. The company says the solution uses advanced image-based transaction and automation processing technology to achieve a transaction accuracy of more than 99%.     Q-Free picks up Norway border plate recognition deal
    Tolling specialist Q-Free is to provide cameras, sensors and services for vehicle and number plate recognition at various points on Norway’s borders from 2019. The two-year agreement with the Directorate of Norwegian Customs will also serve the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and Norwegian Police.
