Swarco has acquired German-based manufacturer Vialux Glasperlen and will use its glass beads to make road markings more visible at night, particularly on wet roads. IRD will supply and operate continuous traffic monitoring (CTM) systems to support the Hawaii Department of Transportation’s operations on state highways. McCain’s smart city traffic technology is being implemented in Maui, the second largest island in the Hawaii archipelago, in a bid to reduce congestion.
