Voi launches electric scooters in Lisbon
Swedish company Voi has launched its electric scooters in Lisbon as part of a wider ambition to expand in Europe. In addition to Portugal, the company says it plans to bring its e-scooters to Italy and France over the coming months. Frederico Venâncio, general manager of Voi Portugal, says “Although we want to expand rapidly, we want to do it in a sustainable way and in line with the local rules of each city.” The Voi app allows users to locate and unlock an e-scooter for €1. Redvision releases Vega 2052 bullet camera
Redvision has launched its outdoor Vega 2052 camera which it says is waterproof and resistant to vandalism. The company says the bullet camera does not require a junction box and is made from die-cast aluminium. It features a marine-grade plating as well as durable powder-coating. The camera’s cabling is routed through the housing and inside its walls or pedestal mounting brackets. Vega 2052 features a 2MP camera module with a Sony Exmor low-light sensor.

Flir has upgraded its thermal traffic sensor and detector with traffic data collection features. The company says ThermiCam2 uses thermal energy emitted from road users – rather than light - to detect vehicles and vulnerable road users at night, over long distances and in harsh weather conditions. Conduent to provide tolling system to ease congestion in Los Angeles
Conduent Transportation is to modernise the tolling system on ExpressLanes in Los Angeles County to help reduce congestion and improve safety along the I-10 and I-110 corridors. Saber, a UK highway condition and inventory specialist, has developed skid analysis software to help reduce the risk of road traffic accidents. PTV works with partners to develop transport modelling software for AVs
PTV, a member of the CoEXist European research project, has announced the development of transport modelling software which it says is ready for automated vehicles (AVs). Translink has launched its future ticketing system for the Glider bus rapid transit network in Belfast. Conduent has extended its contactless card payment system to Line 3 of Puebla’s Red Urbana de Transporte Articulado (RUTA) bus rapid transit system in Mexico.
