Moovit says the deal will allow its users to access multiple public and private transit services, such as bike rentals, car-sharing, ride-sharing, electric scooters and shared taxis. The government of Japan is to introduce a low-speed electric vehicle (EV) service for elderly people travelling to shopping destinations and hospitals. A report by The Japan News says trial will comprise 10 small EVs called ‘Green Slow Mobility’. Each vehicle will be able to carry up to 10 passengers at a speed of less than 20kph. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $235 million loan to help develop a bus rapid transit (BRT) system in Karachi, Pakistan. The project will deliver the 26km Bus Rapid Transit Line Red Line Corridor and associated facilities. More than 300,000 passengers per day are expected on the Red Line BRT routes.
