Alan Tapp, professor of marketing at the Bristol Social Marketing Centre, University of the West of England, will be the conference's keynote speaker. He has more than 100 publications and has led or been involved in projects funded over £1m ($1.3m). His main research interests include how social and critical marketing can help change embedded cultures and social norms. Tapp is currently leading a large-scale research project on young drivers and behaviour change, funded by The Road Safety Trust and the DfT.

Runar Karlsen, chief of the Norwegian National Traffic Police, will deliver the country's blueprint for success in policing roads while also explaining the benefits of Automatic Number Plate Recognition. He will also explore the role of roadside evidential alcohol and drug testing and their participation in Project Edward.

Anthony Bangham, National Police Chiefs' Council lead for roads policing and chief constable of West Mercia, will provide an update on roads policing priorities for England and Wales.
