5564 Skyline Technology Solutions is introducing the OneView video sharing solution at ITS World Congress. Expanding on Skyline’s OneView Portal, this integrated solution empowers transportation agencies to share video with a wide range of stakeholders.
“Issues such as network security, video compatibility, network bandwidth and the ability to scale have prevented agencies from sharing video that would enhance traffic management, emergency response, public safety and public awareness,” explained Brent Isenberg, Skyline business development. “OneView enables a level of sharing that has not been there before.”
On the ITS-UK National Pavilion at the ITS World Congress, Navtech Radar will be showcasing the safety and economic benefits of using its longer-range ClearWay radar systems for automated incident detection (AID). Characteristics such as the system’s very low false alarm rates – less than one per 24 hours – will be highlighted, as well as the system’s growing list of functionalities, which now include vehicle count and classification. China’s Chainzone Technology (Foshan) is making its third visit to Intertraffic with its range of variable message systems, traffic signal and control systems. A long-term supplier to Germany’s Siemens, it supplies vehicle-mounted LED displays, passenger information boards and traffic signal controllers to around 50 countries.
Dutch company Erdi Verkeerstechniek will use Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 to launch the BikeFlex Flexpost, designed to protect cyclists. This latest addition to the company’s range of poles absorbs the shock of collision and reduces the chance of injury. Made of flexible rubber/plastic, a solar flashing LED can be fitted to the top of the post to increase its visibility during hours of darkness.
Zhejiang Dahua Vision is at Intertraffic showing off a versatile all-in-one camera with a range of applications. One of its features is a patented self-triggering technology enabling it to capture images without reliance on expensive roadbed infrastructure.
