5564 Skyline Technology Solutions is introducing the OneView video sharing solution at ITS World Congress. Expanding on Skyline’s OneView Portal, this integrated solution empowers transportation agencies to share video with a wide range of stakeholders.
“Issues such as network security, video compatibility, network bandwidth and the ability to scale have prevented agencies from sharing video that would enhance traffic management, emergency response, public safety and public awareness,” explained Brent Isenberg, Skyline business development. “OneView enables a level of sharing that has not been there before.”
A new mobile app called RideScout provides Transit as a Service (TaaS) by consolidating multiple public, private and social transit options in a single platform.
Finnish company Noptel plans to highlight its laser distance sensors used for traffic control at the World Congress. It will particularly be focusing on its Speeder X1 laser radar, which determines vehicle speed as well as its height and length.
The product consists of a metal box installed under urban equipment, such as streetlamps, pillars, and signposts. In the event of an impact from a vehicle, the equipment will release very easily so damage to the bodywork will be minimised, as will injuries and human losses.
ImCity is the heart of a Smart City connecting everything together. Its strategy manager turns data into action by making policy-aligned decisions. The user interface presents the current status, acting as a ‘dashboard’ to the policies’ effectiveness and showing impacts of trade-offs made.
