Car makers test next generation connected car communications technology

New Yorkers and Californians ready for autonomous cars – Volvo survey
A Volvo Cars survey of 50,000 global drivers found that nine out of ten New Yorkers and 86 per cent of residents in California feel that autonomous cars could make life easier. Dutch municipality to deploy driverless shuttle on public roads
The municipality of Ooststellingwerf in the northern Netherlands is taking part in a three-month self-driving vehicle pilot project, which will see two shuttle vehicles travel from the Netherlands National Forest Service visitor centre to Wester Es in Appelscha, a distance of 1.55 miles. UK researchers developing 3D 'black box' technology for vehicles

The new Inrix Traffic mobile app uses machine learning to predict and personalise the user’s routes, destinations and alerts, adding favourite places automatically.
