Iteris has been awarded a three-year contract from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDoT) to use its ClearGuide solution to improve mobility throughout District 5, which spans nearly 9,000 square miles.

The firm says the solution will enable the analysis and visualisation of traffic data to improve roadway mobility and safety.

District 5 covers nine counties, including Brevard, Flagler and Osceola - and also houses more than 2,100 signalised intersections.

As part of the deal, Iteris is to provide ClearGuide features - part of the ClearMobility cloud-based platform -including automated signal performance measures (ATSPM) capabilities to optimise signal performance, dynamic maps to support detailed traffic analysis and features to help identify and mitigate congestion.

ClearGuide is expected to expand to meet the district's future challenges as well as ingest a wider range of information, such as data from connected and autonomous vehicles.

Scott Perley, vice president, transportation systems at Iteris, says: “ClearGuide enables users to receive regular, proactive recommendations through an intuitive user interface to ultimately improve efficiency at major intersections and throughout the wider network.”
