Camera manufacturer 518 Allied Vision Technologies has added seven models to its Prosilica GT range of  industrial cameras for imaging in extreme environments. New models feature the latest sensor technology from CMOSIS, 7083 Truesense Imaging, and 576 Sony.

Cameras in the 2 to 12 Megapixel range include the Prosilica GT2000 (CMV2000), the GT2050 (CMV4000), and the GT4100 (CMV12000).  All feature global shutter CMOS sensors that offer high sensitivity, fast frame rates up to 53 fps, and high dynamic range.

High resolution cameras include the Prosilica GT4907 and GT6600, CCD cameras in a 35mm optical format and featuring KAI sensors from Truesense imaging.

The Prosilica GT3400 features the new type 1 Sony ICX814 progressive scan CCD sensor that combines excellent image quality and sensitivity, high resolution and fast frame rate.

The company has also added five new Manta models with the newest generation of Sony EXview HAD CCD II sensors in higher resolution ranges of up to 9.2 Megapixels.
These include the Manta G-282, which AVT says distinguishes itself with especially high sensitivity in the near-infrared range. AVT claims the compact format Manta G-917 closes the gap between conventional machine vision cameras and those with very high resolution that use 35mm full format sensors.

Other cameras in the range include the Manta G-283 which delivers up to 35 fps at full HD resolution; the  Manta G-505, delivering 15 images per second at full resolution; and the Manta G-609 equipped with Sony’s ICX694 sensor with EXview HAD CCD II technology, providing outstanding image quality, high quantum efficiency and NIR sensitivity.
