Imaging Development Systems (7178 IDS) will demonstrate its latest USB 3.1 Gen 1 industrial camera series, featuring a USB type C connector, at Vision 2016.

According to IDS, the UI-3880LE is well suited for visualisation tasks demanding high image details, such as intelligent transportation systems, while its compact size of 36x36mm means it can easily be integrated into a system.

The camera series consists of models with various sensors, including Sony’s new high-resolution CMOS sensor and Starvis light sensitive BSI sensor.

An IMX178 rolling shutter sensor provides a resolution of 6 MP (3088 x 2076) at frame rates of up to 60 fps. The camera will be available in a housed version as well as a singleboard version with different lens holders.
