Traffic and Parking Control (Tapco), a manufacturer, distributor and service provider of roadway safety solutions, has announced a partnership with mobility platform developer NoTraffic.

Tapco will offer NoTraffic’s smart mobility platform to communities in the US Midwest, including installations in the states of Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.

NoTraffic’s AI-powered traffic software connects intersections through the cloud and support data-driven planning decisions with the goal of optimised mobility.

By using a combination of data from intelligent sensors and AI technologies, NoTraffic’s traffic management platform works with city intersection networks to change the signal lights in real time based on current traffic needs.

The software is designed to improve traffic safety by optimising traffic flow at intersections to help reduce congestion and vehicle emissions.

NoTraffic’s platform can classify all road users including private vehicles, public transportation and emergency services - as well as vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and micromobility users, to prioritise their travel.

“Partnering with Tapco enables us to extend the reach of our cutting-edge traffic management platform, bringing advanced AI capabilities to intersections across the Midwest,” said Tom Cooper, vice president of sales for NoTraffic. “We aim to significantly improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and enhance overall safety.”

Tapco was set up in 1956, and offers signalised intersection solutions and preventative maintenance options.
