Market driven requirements are behind the launch of the Elite version of the Aura, part of 92 Metric Group's range of pay and display parking and payment machines. A significant change is the Elite's full QWERTY alpha numeric keypad. The industrial keypad is used for entering data into the machine for payments against a vehicle registration or reference number, a growing trend in parking. The unit caters for all possible payment options including coins, bank notes, credit, debit or contactless cards, e-purse and smartcards.

    Angola selects Ingenico’s solution for roadside payment of traffic fines
    Ingenico, a French company specialising in payment solutions, has announced that its EFT930G wireless payment terminal has been selected by the Angolan Ministry of Home Affairs for the payment of traffic fines. Starting with a pilot in Luanda, this new payment method will allow drivers to pay fines with their own credit card, by authorising the amount, and then continue on their way.     Mexican city opts for solar powered parking payment
    The city of San Pedro Cholula in Mexico has installed new Metric Elite LS parking across the city, the first time drivers have been charged for on-street parking, with the scheme part of the municipality’s urban mobility strategy. The paid parking zones will mainly be in commercial and tourist areas of the city. The solar powered parking machines are coin-only and include a 40-way key pad to capture vehicle registration plate details.
