Eyevis has released details of a new optical LED projection engine for the EC Cube Series that uses a new light concept (applying one-panel DLP Technology without colour wheel and without lamp) using RGB LED illumination. According to the company, the LED cube provides an extensively longer lifetime of the light source (approximately 55,000h) as well as enhanced optical performance, such as a high-contrast and high-colour gamut RGB illumination system for highest colour fidelity during operation.

Optelecom-NKF has released its recently improved video management system (VMS) software application, Siqura VMS 5.4. It allows up to 20 servers and 640 video, audio, data, and I/O channels, making it ideal for both local and extended systems. The software includes features such as intelligent motion detection, continuous 24/7 recording, realtime monitoring and playback of recorded video, and it can handle video with MPEG-4, MJPEG, or H.264 compression.

Traficon has launched the commercial version of SafeWalk, a product it has been researching and developing for some time. SafeWalk combines stereovision technology with intelligent image processing technology. By using two CMOS cameras in parallel, SafeWalk converts twodimensional images into threedimensional information.

Swiss company ECTN has developed a Traffic Information Collector (TIC) system based on laser scanners. 3D vehicle data is generated by positioning the lasers over each lane, to automatically classify vehicles. Up to 28 different vehicle classes are categorised into standard classification tables, such as TLS5+1, TLS8+1, Swiss 10.
