May 4, 2018
Lucid Vision will expand its Power over Ethernet (PoE) camera range with Phoenix models that feature 0.4 MP Sony Pregius IMX287 and the 1.6 MP IMX273 global shutter complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor sensors, running at 291 fps and 77 fps, respectively. The company says that the Phoenix camera has a transformable design that can be configured to meet a range of original equipment manufacturer applications. The board layout can be tri-folded into a stacked camera which can also be unfolded into a 10
AMG releases 90W PoE switches for demanding CCTV applications
May 3, 2018
AMG Systems has launched 90W Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches aimed at assisting demanding video surveillance applications. PoE is intended to allow power and data to pass over twisted pair Ethernet cabling. The company says that Ethernet cables help to remove the costs associated with hiring electrical installers and allow powered devices to be deployed at almost any location with an Ethernet presentation. The low voltage, according to AMG, helps to lower the risk of electrical hazards. The company’s
Redvision launches Vega 2010 rugged housing range
May 2, 2018
UK-based Redvision has launched its rugged camera housing for tough, hazardous or corrosive, outdoor surveillance applications. It will house fixed camera and lens combinations and is said to provide protection from dirt, moisture and ingress. Called Redvision Vega 2010, the cable-managed device includes a Chat interface board for power, audio, washer and wiper control, using the Pelco telemetry protocol. Wiper and washer intervals can be automated using dip-switches on the Chat board when telemetry
Vricon releases solution for global georegister imagery
May 2, 2018
Vricon has launched its Precision 3D Registration (P3DR) software suite which, the company says, georegisters imagery automatically anywhere in the world. It works with Vricon’s Globe in 3D brand, a source of geospatial and digital elevation data used by defence and intelligence agencies. The company says that P3DR provides critical accuracy enhancements to other intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance sources, allowing geospatial intelligence data to be used to direct resources. The solution aims to
