After three bids and over a decade of dedicated effort, through close collaboration between ITS Taiwan and the Taipei City Government, and with the guidance of the Ministry of Transportation, Taiwan has successfully secured the hosting rights for the 2029 ITS World Congress.
This achievement cements Taiwan’s position at the forefront of smart city development and ICT innovation and underscores its commitment to human-centred transportation by applying artificial intelligence to enhance all aspects of mobility.
Under the leadership of the Taipei City Government, ITS Taiwan is collaborating with leading ICT firms and academic institutions to integrate AI into intelligent transportation systems—streamlining traffic management and enabling predictive maintenance. This year, ITS Taiwan and the Taipei City Government will join forces with more than a dozen industry partners to unveil a suite of AI-driven ITS solutions in Atlanta, demonstrating both groundbreaking technology and the spirit of cross-sector cooperation that will propel Taiwan’s next-generation mobility ecosystem.
