Clearview Intelligence targets traffic safety solutions
While celebrating its 50th anniversary, Clearview Intelligence is offering two new solar studs that can help boost traffic safety, as well as a novel CCTV-based traffic counter system. One of the new solar studs is designed for use on roads and can be installed easily in a standard mounting in place of the existing retroreflective stud. Peter Cattell, head of technical sales at Clearview, said: “They’re fully charged after four hours and remain lit for 200 hours.”

Acusensus enforcement solution targets fatal driving errors
Australia-headquartered Acusensus is here with a world-first initiative that addresses some of the common causes behind road traffic crashes. These are known as the fatal five behaviours – speeding, impaired driving (drugs and/or alcohol), failure to wear a seatbelt, driver fatigue and distraction – leading to 1.19 million deaths annually across the globe. It’s proven that enforcement greatly contributes to the reduction of fatalities and serious injuries caused by road crashes.

Step forward the Intertraffic Awards winners
Two of the winners of the Intertraffic Awards cut out the noise – literally – to take the trophies. Announced at the Opening Ceremony of Intertraffic Amsterdam, Italian company See won the Green Globe Award for its highly innovative Whisper NB-Eco-40-A3 acoustic panels. Meanwhile, UK-based Intelligent Instruments won for its Sound Vue noise-enforcement camera system in the User Experience category.
