Iteris, Wavetronix settle patent infringement litigation
Iteris and Wavetronix have announced an agreement to settle patent infringement litigation filed by Wavetronix against Iteris. As part of that settlement, Iteris has agreed to remove the continuous mode feature from its Vantage Vector product, and the parties have dismissed their respective claims. Neither party admits liability and the remaining terms of the resolution are confidential.

Need for real-time traffic information systems on the rise
New analysis from Frost & Sullivan, Strategic Analysis of Real-time Traffic Information Market in Europe and North America, finds that the number of real-time traffic information subscribers in North America stood at 1.9 million units in 2014 and estimates this to reach 14.2 million in 2021. In Europe, the number is expected to go up from 2.2 million in 2014 to 10.2 million in 2021. Dynamic truck parking signs launched on German motorway
Swarco Traffic Systems has installed a total of 115 dynamic message signs at five parking areas along the A5 motorway in Germany to provided truck drivers with information about available parking spaces. The aim is to reduce the time spent in looking for parking spaces and increase traffic safety by enabling drivers to take mandated rest breaks. An online platform also provides drivers with real-time information on available parking spaces.

Hong Kong implements emission reduction
Manufacturer of emissions reduction systems, Eminox, is to take part in a US$4.5 million project to reduce NOx pollution in Hong Kong. Instant messaging for Manchester’s motorists
