SignPost Solutions to unveil largest Optimast sign at Traffex
SignPost Solutions, part of the Swarco Group, is taking advantage of Traffex 2017 at the NEC, Birmingham from 4-6 Aprill to launch Optimast 400, the latest addition to its range of passively safe sign masts. Meteorological equipment supplier Biral’s new road weather sensor, the RWS-20 is said to provide reliable visibility measurement data in road applications. Sustainable mobility awards for Malmö and Brussels
The European Commission has announced the winners of the 2016 European sustainable urban mobility awards at a ceremony held in Brussels. Malmö, Sweden won the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK Award 2016 for its long-term focus on active transport modes such as cycling and walking, while the fifth Award for Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning was presented to Brussels, Belgium for its successful freight strategy. NZ Transport Agency signs road-weather contract with MetService

Ricardo launches vehicle emissions monitoring service
UK-based Ricardo Energy & Environment, working with technology partner OPUS Inspection, has launched a vehicle emissions monitoring service for the measurement of emissions from vehicles on UK roads. London’s first Low Emission Bus Zone to tackle toxic air
London’s first Low Emission Bus Zone has been launched in Putney High Street, one of the most polluted areas of the capital. The clean bus zone, which runs a total of 145 buses on seven scheduled routes, will now be serviced by cleaner buses in a move to cut harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.
