Blackberry has extended its strategic partnership with Qualcomm Technologies to develop and produce automotive platforms for the next generation of connected vehicles quickly and cost-effectively.
Germany’s PTV Group and French institute VEDECOM have announced their collaboration on a three-year strategic initiative. VEDECOM focuses on research and development in the field of MaaS (Mobility as a Service) in smart cities, including the integration of autonomous vehicles and their monitoring in real-time.
Work being carried out by the University of Toronto’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Centre could have a beneficial effect on the city’s congestion problems.
